Last January 31, 2016, more than 500 youth coming from our parish in Caloocan, members of apostolate groups of the formation house, teachers and students from different schools in Lipá and a delegation from Malaysia actively converged in De La Salle Lipá for the Fourth IVE Youth Day, under the theme “Blessed are the Merciful for they will receive Mercy”.
IVE Youth Day is annually organized by our Institute to give the young people to spend a day in family and religious atmosphere, to receive spiritual and cultural formation and experience a day of wholesome recreation.
The day was divided into two. Morning session included a main talk given by Ms. Alyana Dalisay who shared her story about family life and relationships. Later, three talks were given and among these three the youth can freely choose which one to attend. Fr. Santiago Vidal, IVE talked about vocation, Mr. and Ms. Calimon talked about the vocation to a married life and Guillermo Gomez Rivera presented the true Philippine History. In between the talks, there were periods of sports and recreation, where the youth energetically joined.
At the noon time, lunch were served with the traditional ‘fogon’: Filipino traditional dances and songs were presented. After the comedy skit, a video of our missions around the world was presented
In the afternoon, we made a long line for a procession in honor of Our Lady of Luján. Walking along the spacious fields of the De La Salle Lipá, we prayed the holy rosary while our priests were available for confession. The Eucharistic Adoration followed where we had a Eucharistic Dialogue, renewing our love and devotion to Christ, truly present in the Holy Eucharist.
The Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated by the Fr. Luis Zapata, IVE. In his homily, Fr. Zapata encouraged the young people to be merciful in every single moment of their lives, as our Lord is also merciful to them. This meant living the Catholic Faith.
We thank God for all the benefits which we have received this day, and those graces which we will reap in the future. The particular grace we would like to mention is that there was a long line for confession, which continued even after the Holy Mass was concluded.
We commend the work to Our Lady of Luján, that as she protected our small religious family, she may also protect and guide all the young people and their families which have been entrusted to us.

IV Jornada de la Juventud en Las Filipinas
El pasado 31 de Enero del 2016, más de 500 jóvenes venidos de nuestra parroquia de Caloocan, de distintos centros de apostolado del Seminario, de diferentes escuelas de Lipá y de la misma Malasia se reunieron en el Colegio De La Salle Lipá para nuestra IV Jornada de los Jóvenes, bajo el lema “Bienaventurados los misericordiosos porque obtendrán misericordia”.
La Jornada de la Juventud es organizada anualmente por nuestro Instituto con el objetivo de dar a los jóvenes la gracia de pasar un día en familia, dentro de clima religioso, de recibir una buena formación cultural y espiritual y de experimentar un día de sana recreación.
El día se dividió en dos. Por la mañana la Sra. Alyana Dalisay dio la plenaria principal, en la cual compartió la historia de su vida familiar. Seguidamente, tres talleres simultáneos se llevaron a cabo: el P. Santiago Vidal, IVE, habló sobre la vocación, el Sr. y la Sra. Calimon hablaron sobre el matrimonio y el Prof. Guillermo Gómez Rivera presentó la auténtica historia de Filipinas. En los recreos hubo momento de deportes y recreación, de los cuales los jóvenes participaron con mucho entusiasmo.
Durante el almuerzo el fogón estuvo animado por tradicionales bailes y canciones filipinas. Luego del Divague, se proyectó un video de nuestras misiones alrededor del mundo. Por la tarde se llevó a cabo una muy larga procesión en honor de la Virgen de Luján. Caminando alrededor del espacioso campo de deportes del Colegio De La Salle Lipá, rezamos el Santo Rosario mientras hubo sacerdotes disponibles para escuchar confesiones. Después tuvimos la Adoración Eucarística donde se leyó un Diálogo Eucarístico, renovando así nuestro amor y devoción a Cristo, verdaderamente presente en la Eucaristía.
La Misa de acción de gracias fue celebrada por el P. Luis Zapata, IVE. En la homilía el P. Zapata exhortó a los jóvenes a ser misericordiosos en cada momento de sus vidas, ya que el Señor había sido misericordioso con ellos. Lo cual significa vivir la Fe Católica.
Agradecemos a Dios todos los beneficios que nos ha dado en esta Jornada y aquellos frutos que cosecharemos en el futuro. Agradecemos especialmente la gracia de haber tenido numerosas confesiones que hubieron de terminarse incluso hasta después de la Misa.
Encomendamos el trabajo a Nuestra Señora de Luján, para que así como protege nuestra pequeña Familia Religiosa, así también proteja y guíe a todos los jóvenes y a sus familias que han sido confiados a nosotros.
