The Construction Project

August 2009. The Institute of the Incarnate Word established the Houses of Formation in Lipa City, Philippines for Asian Vocations. They began with a small rented house in a suburb but succeeding years saw an increasing number of vocations. The house became to small to house these vocations coming from various Asian countries. In the year 2011, the Institute acquired a land in a tranquil rural baranggay. On August 2013, the construction to house the future missionary priests began. 

Last March 2014, the Archbishop of Lipa, Most. Rev. Ramón C. Argüelles, DD blessed the first building, the priests’ dormitory. The priest-formators and the seminarians have moved in to the new compound, but the project is not yet completed. 

The Plan

  • The construction of the priest´s dormitory (St. Peter’s Building) was finished last March 2014 and was even blessed by the Archbishop of Lipa.  It is now full functioning.
  • The construction of the Seminarians’ Dormitory (Sts. James and John Building) was finished last August 2015 and is currently housing 30 seminarians.
  • We recently finished the construction of the Dining Hall, which now serves as the ‘Aula Magna’ and the Kitchen which are now functioning, though we still lack more furnitures and fixtures (tables, chairs, exhaust fans, etc)
  • We still have to build the chapel, and we are still developing our surroundings with various trees and flowering plants to make the seminary conducive to prayer and study.
