Our Charism

The Institute of the Incarnate Word (IVE) has the specific purpose of commit all our strength to inculturate the Gospel, that is to say, to extend the Incarnation “to all men, in the whole man, and in all of the manifestations of man,” in accordance with the teachings of the Magisterium of the Church.

This charism is the grace to know how to work concretely in order to prolong Christ in families, in education, in the mass media, in the intellectuals, and in all other legitimate manifestations of human life.

As we want to commit all of our strength for the Evangelization of the Cultures, it is necessary for us to be in supreme obedience to the Holy Spirit, just like our Blessed Mother during the Annunciation, “I am the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to your word“, bringing God the Son to the world. In similar way, we strive that this docility will make our Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of all that is genuinely human, even in the most difficult situations and under the most adverse conditions.

It is the gift, by being essentially missionary and Marian, to make each man “like a new Incarnation of the Word
