The Religious Family of the Incarnate Word Philippines holds the IVE Youth Day 2025. In celebration of the Ordinary Jubilee , the theme for this year is : Rejoicing in Hope. Around 600 young people from different schools and apostolate areas came together to learn enjoy and have fun with other young people and among the religious brothers and sisters.
The programme started with an opening ceremony where a group of young people read a reflection on the theme which was followed by the morning conferences. Sister Maria Birhen ng Manaoag, SSVM talked about the life of the future young saint: Blessed Pier Giorgio Frasatti at the IVE Pastoral Center. Some participants were educated on the virtue of chastity by Ms. Sharmaine Fabellon and Mrs. Mary Joy Garcia Vinas through the conference titled: Youth of the Third Millenium: Soldiers of Purity and Defender of Chastity. Fr. Miguel Soler on his part gave a vocational talk titled: “The Plans of God the Father Over Me”
During the free periods, the participants can visit the booths prepared by the religious and other young people from the different apostolate areas which include: IVE Stand, Vocation Stand, Pro-Life Booth and Youth Apostolate Stand.
During lunch, the participants enjoyed the series of performances prepared by the religious and some young people from the different apostolate areas of our Religious Family, the program ended with a traditional Divague prepared by the seminary’s “Saint Philip Neri Group” before the participants proceeded to the afternoon conference.
The afternoon conferences include a talk on the impact of the Artificial Intelligence by Sister Maria Mater Laetitiae, SSVM. Fr. Diego Ibarra gave a talk on Saint Lorenzo Ruiz while Fr. Miguel gave a second conference on the same topic.
There was a time for sports before the procession started at 5 pm. After a time for sports, the participants did a rosary procession preceded by the images of Saint Joseph, Our Lady of Lujan and the Youth Day Cross. The procession ended in the seminary and was immediately followed by the Eucharistic Adoration guided by the Eucharistic Dialogue.
The Closing Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Santiago Sylvester, IVE, who in his homily gave a reflection on purity and chastity according to the Beatitude: Blessed are the pure of heart for they shall see God and as if a parting gift, there was an imposition of the Brown Scapular for those are willing to receive them.
